The farm
Hi, I'm obsessed with dahlias.
I've been growing dahlias in the Midwest for over a decade, through late frosts, Japanese beetles, and every other thing this climate throws at a flower farmer. Freckled Brunette started as a backyard obsession and grew into something I couldn't keep to myself.
Everything here is grown by hand on our small farm in Valentine, Nebraska. I dig every tuber, root every cutting, and pack every order myself. When it leaves the farm, it carries a little piece of this place with it.
The season is short.
